Medium Series Hydraulic Breakers KF 6 and KF 9 Versatility and power are the benefits of the KF 6 and 9. These hammers are available with Kent’s unique Switch Hitch™ side plate mounting system for rubber-tired backhoes. An indexing disc inserted in the side plate can be easily changed to accommodate quick couplers for many popular backhoes, including Case®, John Deere® and Caterpillar®. Attachment is as simple as rotating the disc to the OEM center dimension of the carrier then attach the hammer in the normal manner. There’s no need for separate OEM specific mounting brackets for each carrier. This design also increases “tuck” for better over the road transport and aids in loading and unloading of the equipment. The KF 6 and 9 also comes in the popular Qt version to accommodate work environments that demand a reduced noise level. These mid-size hammers are engineered with a higher back head pressure and larger pistons for an increase in impact energy of 20-30%. The KF 6 is available with a one-piece skid-steer loader bracket for large series skid-steer loaders. KF 12 The KF 12 is available in a TLB version (with Switch Hitch™ Mounting) for large series backhoes, a heavy-duty model for excavators/pedestal applications as well as a Qt model for noise sensitive environments. Designed to handle larger more demanding tasks, these models are ideal for use on roads, bridges, rock, utility applications and in quarries mounted on pedestals for reducing oversize. Production can be dramatically increased with the blow frequency adjuster, which changes the piston stroke and frequency, maximizing impact energy. A dust intake prevention system also prevents dust from entering the back head during the piston upstroke, improving the life of the piston, bushings and working steel. The KF 12 is also designed to accommodate automatic lubrication systems for quick daily maintenance.
TLB Version: Breakers assembled with full-length side plates for direct mounting to mini-excavators and small rubber tire backhoes, not utilizing quick couplers. SS Version: Breakers assembled in a one-piece bracket incorporating a universal quick-attach feature expressly for skid-steer application. No flexibility in carriers utilized. FSP Version: Breakers assembled in side plates that require a bolt-on top cap or universal quick-attach bracket for carrier mounting. Allows flexibility of utilization between mini-excavators, rubber tire backhoes and skid-steers. Qt Version: Breakers totally encased in a protective, welded 'box' designed to reduce noise levels that require a bolt-on top cap or universal quick-attach bracket for carrier mounting. HD Version (12 Only): - Booms feature a 10" x 10" high strength, heavy wall structural grade steel tube. All critically stressed areas are reinforced with structural grade plate. The dipperstick features a 10" x 8" high strength, heavy wall structural grade steel tube. All critically stressed areas are reinforced with structural grade plate. HD versions also include oversized, hardened alloy steel pins and replaceable bushings are located at all pivot points to prevent pin breakage. |
